What are SDGs?

The world (our planet) is faced with various social issues such as conflicts, poverty, inequality, and environmental problems.
The SDGs, or Sustainable Development Goals, are a set of 17 goals and 169 targets established by the United Nations to address the most critical issues that need to be resolved by 2030.
These goals are an international aim to strive for a sustainable and better world. As the successor to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) formulated in 2001, the SDGs were adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015.
People around the world are working together to achieve these goals, aiming to solve social issues and create a society where no one is left behind.

Our Initiatives

Takagi Kogyo, with its main businesses in human resources services and sports, is committed to expanding employment opportunities and providing opportunities for physical activity. We are engaged in business activities with the philosophy of creating a better society. Like the SDGs, we have organized our business flow from the perspective of ESG management (Environmental, Social, Governance), which is also internationally advocated with the philosophy of “sustainability of society and the environment”. We believe that by steadily implementing the following initiatives, we can contribute to the sustainable growth of our various businesses and assist in achieving the SDGs.

  • Environment

    1. Stockpiling of emergency supplies (food, water, portable toilets, etc.) during disasters
    2. Thorough recycling of 100% of sorted waste, including plastic bottles, glass bottles, and cans
    3. Proper disposal of mercury-containing waste (fluorescent bulbs, batteries, etc.)
    4. Use of work clothes made from recyclable materials that can be reused
    5. Promotion of activities to reduce global warming and greenhouse gas emissions
    6. Preservation of Earth’s resources through paperless initiatives
    7. Reduction of CO2 through the promotion of LED lighting
